hyggecloud / cost calculator

What would your cloud cost in Europe?

Enter your current monthly costs roughly by category — the calculator shows a conservative estimate for running at European providers, including break-even after migration cost. No email required, no signup. Just numbers.

Methodology

How we calculate — laid open

🧮

Conservative factors

Per category we use experience values from real migrations: compute −55 to −75 %, databases −40 to −60 %, storage −25 to −45 %, traffic −75 to −95 %, other −10 to −30 %. We show the midpoint, with the range next to it.

⚠️

What the calculator doesn't know

Proprietary services (Lambda tangles, special managed services) can increase effort — or suggest a partial migration. Reserved instances and savings plans distort your baseline. Hence: reference value, not an offer.

🔍

The path to the real number

In the Hygge Check we analyse your actual setup service by service and deliver the business case with migration cost and break-even — as a fixed-price document for your management.

Like the estimate? The real number is usually better.

In real projects we almost always find unused resources on top — typically 5–15 % of the bill that can simply be deleted.
